Randy Thornton, owner of Dive Addicts, has been actively diving since 1995. An SDI and TDI Instructor Trainer, Randy enjoys teaching all levels of scuba diving from beginning students through advanced stages of technical diving. As an avid cave diver, Randy has explored many caves in Northern Florida as well as the Akumal Mexico area. In addition to being an SDI/TDI Instructor Trainer, Randy is also a NAUI, IANTD and ANDI Instructor, holding Instructor ratings for CPROX1st AED, Nitrox, Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, Advanced Wreck, Extended Range, Trimix, Advanced Trimix, SCR Rebreather, Inspiration CCR, Hammerhead CCR, Sentinel CCR, O2PTIMA CCR, CCR Normoxic Trimix, CCR Advanced Trimix, Visual Inspection Procedures, Nitrox Blending, Advanced Mixed Gas Blending, and O2 Service Technician. Additionally, Randy holds diver certification for Full Cave.
A budding underwater photographer, Randy has taken underwater pictures all over the world including, Bahamas, Florida, Hawaii, Turks and Caicos, Belize, Galapagos, Truk Lagoon, Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, Cayman Brac, Tahiti, Fiji, Cozumel, Akumal, California, St. Croix, British Virgin Islands, Dominican Islands, Greece, Thailand, Indonesia as well as every mud hole in the state of Utah! Randy¹s real passion is overhead environments (wrecks and caves). If you have an hour or two to spare, just ask him about it!
