About Us : Michael Thornton
Michael Thornton started diving in 1998 and has been an addict ever since. Michael first became a tech diving addict when he completed his Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures to start cave diving at an early age of 15 with his brother and father. He went on to complete his Advanced Trimix and Closed Circuit Rebreather certifications.
Michael enjoys diving with his family and friends, visiting new places and especially enjoys wreck diving and entering sunken history, as well as local diving in Utah’s best dive sites. His favorite dive sites so far have been Bikini Atoll, Truk Lagoon, and the Caves of Mexico and Florida. Michael is always excited to continue his diving education and expand on the courses he teaches in between studying music at BYU.
Michael speaks fluent Spanish and can teach any course with translated materials.
