Missy embodies the definition of a Dive Addict. After being in Egypt at the Red Sea watching others dive, she came home and took her beginning Scuba class. Shortly after, during her first ocean dive, the company she was with offered her a position as a Divemaster. As soon as she got home she started the instructor courses and hasn’t gotten out of the water since.
With her love of the ocean, Missy dives wherever she happens to end up and has worked in different scuba stores. She has been exposed to many different types of divers and dive conditions from the warm waters of the Asia Pacific to the drysuit-only diving of British Columbia.
Having a love for people and teaching, Missy is always trying to improve her teaching and diving skills. She currently is enrolled in technical dive courses and is involved in many community outreach programs. She teaches First Aid and CPR for the Red Cross and volunteers almost all of time she isn’t in the water.
